The Vaudeville Theatre Company is one of the newest theatre companies in Cebu. It exists to provide local Cebuano artists an avenue for artistic expressions on stage, and at the same time, to showcase high-quality productions suitable for the family.
The same theatre company who brought “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” to the Queen City of the South last year, The Vaudeville Theatre Company will bring on the stage the eccentric and iconic Addams Family on October 20 and 21, 2018, at SM City Cebu Cinema 1.

The Addams Family Musical will touch a story of Wednesday Addams, now eighteen years old, who has found herself experiencing a surprising new sensation, one that frightens both her and her family: she has fallen in love.
As her family learns to relate to the seemingly normal Beineke Family and cope with Wednesday’s romance, one thing is certain: the Addams Family will never be the same.
Performance Preview and Press Conference
The Vaudeville Theatre Company invited members of the print media and bloggers to introduce the upcoming play and also sample some of their songs and dance numbers. Theatre actor, Jingle Mirafuentes Saynes, played host during the event. He will be portraying the lead character Gomez Addams.
The main cast of the play performed one of their songs, “When You’re An Addams”, during the press conference and preview.
Artistic Director and VTC Founder, Penelop “Penny” Ong
Penny started directing Musical Productions and short films since 1999. She is currently a theater teacher/director at Philippine Christian Gospel School. She was briefly trained at Music Theater International, New York, and International Academy of Film and Television, Cebu City, and has directed more than a dozen local and Broadway musicals and ballet shows including Charles Dickens’ Christmas Carol, The Wizard of Oz, Mulan, Into The Woods, Dr. Seuss Seussical, Pinocchio, The Nutcracker, You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, and Peter Pan. The Addams Family will be Penny’s 17th directorial work.
Aside from Penny’s effort, Vince Gaton, a resident choreographer of the Offbeat Production House, is the Dance Director of The Addams Family Broadway Musical production. It is going to be his second production with Vaudeville Theatre Company, with “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” as his first.
Jude Gitamondoc, a 2-time Awit Award-winning songwriter based in Cebu is the Music Director of The Addams Family production. His other songwriting and music directing works are “You’ve Been Facebooked” and the hit Bisrock Jukebox Musical “Gugmang Giatay”.
