In its 12th year, Cebu Marathon 2020 tags partnership with New Balance as “12 Happy-nings with New Balance” filled with 12 activities and events to be rolled out for next year’s run.

The official event organizers, Cebu Executive Runners Club, represented by John Pages, Meyrick Jacalan, and Jesse Taborada, its agency partner, ASAP Advertising and Events, represented by Perl Jacalan, together with Agnes Puno of New Balance announce 12 exciting “happy-nings” exclusive to all participants.

Train for FREE with New Balance Running Club

Run faster and run better as New Balance Running Club’s (NBRC) launches its Couch to Cebu Marathon 2020.

All Cebu Marathon 2020 participants get the opportunity to train for free with three New Balance pacers with different time targets (6.30, 7.00 and 7.30 min/km pace). New Balance Ambassador, Rovilson Fernandez will pace on the race day, January 12, 2020.

The program is a six-Sunday long run training that will start on November 24, 2019. Participants will receive a Couch to Cebu Marathon 2020 Stamp Card upon signing up. This card will be stamped on and validated after every Sunday run they participate in. Participants who get 4 validated stamps get an exciting freebie exclusively from New Balance, while those who complete all 6 Sundays get a New Balance shirt.

Signing up starts on November 18 at the New Balance Concept Store at Level 2, Ayala Center Cebu’s New Wing. No registration fees needed.

₱1,000 off Cash Voucher to all participants

A limited and exclusive offer to all participants is a ₱1,000 off cash voucher that they can use for every ₱4995 purchase of New Balance regular priced items.

Participants just need to present a copy of their Cebu Marathon confirmation stub at New Balance, and they get this exclusive offer.

Cebu Marathon at a glance

The Cebu Marathon is held in Cebu City, the country’s oldest city and the first capital of the Philippines. With Cebu City often regarded as the birthplace of Christianity in Asia, Cebu Marathon 2020 promises to be one of the most festive road-running races in the Philippines.

Cebu Marathon coincides with the Sinulog — the country’s grandest mardi gras. Filled with this spirit of celebration, the routes are littered with hydration stations where runners are greeted with drum-beaters and dancers with an invigorating and festive vibe. Now in its 12th year, the Cebu Marathon attracts thousands of runners joining the 42k, 21k, and 5k distances. The race starts and ends at Cebu Business Park and passes through several of the city’s iconic areas, including the Provincial Capitol Building and Fuente Osmeña.
