Twelve movies about the enduring tales of love, friendship, faith, triumph and courage are being presented this year in Cebu City by the Embassies of Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom in cooperation with Alliance Francaise in Manila, the British Council, the Goethe-Institut, Instituto Cervantes, and the Philippine-Italian Association.

One year, two computers and a continent between them. Actors David Verdaguer and Natalia Tena for 10.000 km (a.k.a. Long Distance)

Director Carlos Marques-Marcet attempts to answer these issues through the love story of Alexandra and Sergi. Like ordinary couples, both have their ups and downs but the greatest challenge came when Alex receives an offer for an artistic residency in Los Angeles. Now both have to contend with the distance of 10,000 kilometers between them. Can technology ignite their love for each other?

All these issues and more will be depicted in the Spanish film “Long Distance” which is the featured film in Cine Europa in SM Cebu City. Public screenings will be held from 3 to 6 October, 2019. Admission is free on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ambassador Jorge Moragas, Mr. Rafael de Bustamante, First Counsellor, EU Delegation to the Philippines and Ms. Marissa Fernan, Vice-President, SM Holdings, will open Cine Europa in Cebu.
