Chill and Chow at KKD STK + BBQ Cebu for good food and good vibes

When we look out that very place to dine with family and friends, we always set the standards that the restaurant is clean and it serves good food with good price. We’ve just found one near the Plaza Independencia and other historical landmarks in Cebu. KKD STK + BBQ Cebu is located at M. J. Cuenco Avenue-M. C. Briones Street intersection.

Chill and Chow at KKD STK + BBQ in Cebu

KKD STK + BBQ is known for their “freshly-served authentic Filipino Cuisine and cooked from the heart” concept. When we have a visit to their restaurant one afternoon on a weekday, we experience what really is to be served with good and affordable food. Our expectations were low considering that how they described the place is more of a “carenderia” than a decent food place.

Our assumptions were debunked when we arrived there.

Good vibes and great industrial feel

To our surprise, they provide a relaxing ambiance with the New York industrial feel of exposing the water pipes at the ceiling, mood lights on wooden crates, huge stand fans with long blades, and of course, the wooden tables and stairs.

Not to forget the brown brick walls. Before our orders were served, we went upstairs to the upper floor and we get to see an open-air balcony with an overseeing view of the sea that separated the main city of Cebu to Lapu-Lapu City.

They have a function hall to cater special occasions like birthdays or meetings with a huge number of family members and friends.

Good food, affordable Filipino food

While we’re about to arrive at KKD STK + BBQ and telling the cab driver where we are heading, he told us that we need to get their crispy pata. For him, it is the best, and the serving is huge enough for a group of four people. So, we ended up getting one because, well, crispy pata is life.

Of course, we were served with the starters: baked scallops fully loaded with cheese, and every Cebuano’s favorite delicacy, the pork chicharon. Nothing can beat a good appetizer with the pork chicharon, and that would save us from going to Carcar just to get a pack.
