ASUS has recently unveiled a smartphone fit for the game changers. The new Zenfone 4 Max Lite Edition was introduced in the Philippine market in February joining the already-strong line of new generation ZenFone 4 smartphones.
ASUS ZenFone 4 Max Lite: Unboxing and First Impressions
The ZenFone line of Max smartphones is well-known for its big battery power. Following the release of Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 4 Max last year, ASUS again surprised the loyal ZenFans an absolute game-changing smartphone that still carries a huge battery capacity with a “lite” version on software and hardware specifications.
Here’s a brief rundown of ZenFone 4 Max Lite specifications:

– 13-megapixel primary rear camera + 5-megapixel wide-angle camera at f/2.0 aperture with PDAF, EIS, flash
– 8-megapixel front camera with Softlight LED flash

A Lite to the Battery King family
The budget entry-level smartphone device is an addition to the Battery King family. With how the name suggests, it is a bit of a step down from the base model of last year’s model, the ZenFone 4 Max. Inside the box are the basics of what’s the usual inclusion of the latest ZenFone smartphones.
There are the micro USB charging cord and the adapter. A surprise to the new line of ZenFones is an included clear Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) case.
Of course, a pair of earphones and extra earbuds are in the box as well. An OTG cable for reverse charging (since you can still use the ZenFone 4 Max Lite as a power bank due its big battery.)
Not to forget the SIM tray ejector and the SIM tray that can support dual SIM cards and a micro SD card for extended storage up to 256 GB.
For only ₱7,995.00 (a ₱2,000 cheaper than the ZenFone 4 Max), the new ZenFone 4 Max Lite is now available in the Philippines at any ZenFone kiosks and concept stores. Check this list for the stores selling one so you can get one.

A Little “First Impressions” Something-something
The unit we are test driving is in Deepsea Black. It looks very similar to the ZenFone 4 Max, however, it has a smaller screen of 5.2 inches (compared to 5.5 inches on ZenFone 4 Max). What makes the Lite better is its Portrait mode on both the main (back) camera and the front camera.
The new ZenFone Max 4 Lite arrived at our front door just recently. We are currently testing it for its capabilities. Photos and other results of our testing will be posted very soon.
The other ZenFone family members are currently available at the ASUS official store in Lazada.
