BDO Remit facilitates the distribution of health kits in Iloilo and Macau

Many Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have been displaced and repatriated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Also, several were stranded in international airports waiting for their return to the Philippines. BDO Remit recently gave out face masks and hygiene kits to some of the OFWs at Macau International Airport. This is also one of their efforts in helping relieve the stress of the pandemic among the OFWs.

BDO Remit facilitates the distribution of health kits in Iloilo and Macau

BDO Remit, BDO Unibank’s remittance service brand, while working with the OWWA, the Philippine Overseas Labor & Office, and the Philippine General Consulate Office, BDO Remit distributed face masks to stranded and repatriated overseas Filipinos in Macau.

On the other hand, BDO Remit, in coordination with government agencies, is brave enough even to help distribute health kits to overseas Filipinos in the middle of the ongoing COVID-19 scare. In collaboration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Region 6 Office, BDO Remit’s pre-departure orientation seminar team (photo on left) distributed hygiene kits to more than a hundred repatriated seafarers in Iloilo.

They also did the gesture of distributing hygiene kits and providing assistance to repatriated overseas Filipinos last July at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX). It was made possible in coordination with BDO Foundation.
