The 1967 musical comedy and a classic play “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” is based on the comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schultz will be here in Cebu for the debut production of one of the newest Cebuano musical theater companies, the Vaudeville Theatre Company.
“You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” Theatre and Musical Play in Cebu
The musical theater play is a Broadway musical based on the popular comic strip “Peanuts” by Charles Schultz, with book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner. The Vaudeville Theatre Company will have a 3-day 4-show featured presentation, from February 17-19, 2017, at SM City Cebu Cinema 1.
This is going to be the 15th directorial work of Penelop Ong, Artistic Director and Founder of the Vaudeville Theatre Co. Vincent Paul Diez Gaton is the director of the choreography, and the musical director is the 2-time Awit Award-winning songwriter Jude Gitamondoc.
In this play our beloved and adorable characters from Peanuts comes to life; bossy Lucy is hopelessly in love with piano prodigy Schroeder who doesn’t give her the time of day, perfectionist Sally is still mocking blanket-toting Linus, Snoopy is in the doghouse, and “blockhead” himself, Charlie Brown, is in rare form.

Tickets to the show are available now at the following Shakey’s branches: SM City Cebu, Ayala Center Cebu, Cebu IT Park at the Walk, and at Robinson’s Cybergate.
You can also get your tickets at the Vaudeville Theatre Company Office located at the Ground Floor, Tango Plaza Bldg. (in front of Redemptorist Church), Queens Road, Cebu City. The office is open from Mondays to Fridays, 10 AM to 7 PM.
Press Conference and Performance Preview
A press conference was held last January 21, 2017, at A Space Cebu for the introduction of cast and crew of the Vaudeville Theatre Company. They also showcased a performance preview for their upcoming musical theater play, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
