GMA Network, through its regional arm GMA Regional TV, ushered in the New Year in a grand, festive mood with the stars of its highly-anticipated programs during the Sinulog Festival in Cebu from January 13 until Sinulog Sunday, the 15th.
Kapuso in Cebu City for Sinulog
As a way of thanking the viewers for keeping the Kapuso Network number one nationwide, GMA has brought to the Queen City of the South the casts of the upcoming primetime series “Destined To Be Yours” and “My Love From The Star”, as well as the newly-launched romcom “Meant To Be”.
The fun does not end here as the stars of the latest Afternoon Prime series “Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa” and “Ika-6 na Utos” joined in the celebration of Cebuanos’ reverence to Senyor Santo Niño.
Last January 13, stars of the TV adaptation of the classic film “Pinulot Ka Lang sa Lupa” –Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose and Benjamin Alves, together with LJ Reyes and Martin del Rosario–held back-to-back Kapuso Mall Shows in Gaisano Capital South Colon and in The Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu.
January 14 was even more star-studded as well with the TV personalities of “Ika-6 Na Utos” and “Meant To Be” treated their fans to another back-to-back Kapuso Mall Shows.
Sure to have set the festive mood in Gaisano Capital Island Mall Mactan was the on-screen love triangle of Gabby Concepcion, Sunshine Dizon, and Ryza Cenon. Meanwhile, men and women alike fell in love even more with the help of “Meant To Be” stars Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan, Jak Roberto, Ivan Dorschner, Addy Raj, and Mika dela Cruz.
Two Kapuso Mall shows also happened at SM City Cebu.
GMA Stars at the Sinulog Festival Grand Parade
Adding more glitz to the colorful Sinulog Grand Parade last January 15 are today’s hottest love teams and stars of the much-awaited Telebabad series “Destined to Be Yours” and “My Love From The Star”.
They were joined by Meant To Be’s Ken, Jak, Ivan, and Addy on board the Kapuso float to tour the major streets of Cebu City. Mika, on the other hand, played co-host at GMA TV Cebu’s live coverage of the Sinulog Grand Parade together with GMA Cebu’s Cecil Quibod-Castro and Yuri.
“2016 has been an amazing year for GMA Network,” says Oliver Amoroso, Officer-in-Charge of GMA’s Regional TV Department. “We regained the number one spot in the rating game and we continue to lead nationwide. As we begin 2017, we want our loyal Kapuso viewers to know that we remain committed to giving them only the best programs with only the finest stars. And what better way to jump-start this year than to bring the most-anticipated shows in Philippine TV to our Kapusong Cebuanos who have been very supportive to us since day one. We join them in giving thanks to Senyor Santo Niño for all the blessings we continuously receive,” he adds.
