Landers Superstore Cebu enforces heightened safety measures

With the government extending the enhanced community quarantine to May 15 in select regions, provinces, and cities, including the Province of Cebu and Cebu City to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, Landers Superstore Cebu implemented precautionary and safety standards to follow when in the vicinity of the property.

Disinfection and Sanitation Procedures

Daily disinfection is conducted with the following procedures: grocery carts are disinfected after each use, check out counters are sanitized after every transaction, disinfection of high contact areas within the store such as metal handles and shelves, and a disinfecting foot bath is placed at all points of entry. General cleaning is conducted every Sunday when all equipment, furniture, fixtures, counters, and merchandise are sanitized, as well as the backroom and the building perimeter. Comprehensive disinfection activity is done from time to time inside and outside the building by a 3rd party professional sanitation and pest control contractor.

Employee Safety Measures

Employees are constantly informed about safety measures and given regular global, national, and community updates regarding the virus. All employees wear masks and face shields, practice proper sanitation, and undergo routine physical check-ups from the resident nurse. 70% solution alcohol pumps are stationed around the store for the shoppers’ and employees’ use.

Social and Physical Distancing

Demarcation lines in yellow are placed in-store at the waiting area, check out counters, and entrance to enforce strict physical distancing of one meter. A Cashier’s Physical Zone is also implemented in all check-out counters. Announcements are made regularly throughout the day using the public address system with employees doing routine checks around the store to ensure proper implementation. All shoppers are required to wear masks at all times for safety and as regulated by Cebu City Executive Order 66.

Open on Sundays

Landers remains open on Sundays to serve the frontliners and other residents who are exempted from the vehicle ban as regulated by Cebu City Executive Order 70.

Landers and Landers Caltex Entry and Exit Points

The designated entry is the area fronting the store at Cardinal Rosales Avenue and exit is at the Landers Caltex Station along Pope John Paul II Avenue. Landers Caltex Station is open for business from 9 AM to 6 PM, daily.

Online Delivery Update and Area of Coverage

Online grocery shopping and delivery are available through www.landers.ph. Please be advised that daily delivery from 7 AM to 7 PM is available within the Cebu City area only.
