M2M Cebu Concert: Pop Duo Reunites with The Better Endings Tour 2025

After 22 years, the Norwegian pop duo M2M is reuniting, bringing their iconic sound back to fans with the Better Endings Tour 2025, including a highly anticipated stop in Cebu. This long-awaited tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of Shades of Purple (2000), the debut album that captivated audiences worldwide and introduced hits like “Pretty Boy” and “The Day You Went Away.”

Formed in 1998 by Marit Larsen and Marion Ravn, M2M quickly gained fame, achieving over 1.5 million album sales. Their music continues to resonate with fans globally, especially in Asia, where the tour will kick off.

Despite the early success of Shades of Purple, M2M disbanded in 2002 after their second album, The Big Room (2001), received mixed commercial success. However, a recent Instagram video sparked immense excitement among fans. The clip, posted on September 22 at 9:25 AM Oslo time, was a heartfelt rendition of “The Day You Went Away,” paying tribute to the song’s lyrics: “I remember date and time/September 22nd, Sunday, 25 after nine.”

A Trip Down Memory Lane for M2M Fans in Asia

Since the announcement, M2M has confirmed that the Better Endings Tour will take them to several Asian cities, including Cebu, Manila, and Davao in the Philippines, as well as Singapore, Jakarta, and Bangkok.

“Asia was always the first choice. Some of our best memories are from there,” Ravn said, emphasizing the duo’s deep connection to their Asian fanbase.

Cebu fans can look forward to a nostalgic journey with hits from Shades of Purple, along with special surprises from Marit and Marion as they reconnect with audiences.

Their manager confirmed this reunion tour, the duo’s first, as they did not have a headline tour during their initial run. In addition to Asia, M2M will perform in their hometown of Oslo in June, marking an emotional return to where it all began.

Larsen expressed the unique magic of reuniting: “Making Shades of Purple changed our lives forever, and playing these songs together again, in the same room, while rediscovering both our music and our friendship at the same time, is a particular kind of magic. It feels powerful, like a celebration.”
