MCCI’s Mandaue Expo promotes reset of local businesses

To provide Cebuanos a glimpse of what Mandaue City businesses have to offer, the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) is set to hold the Mandaue Expo 2022 that will be held from August 5-7, 2022 in Mandaue City. The expo will feature at least 40 exhibitors who will showcase various products such as processed meat, baked goods, beverage, furniture, furnishings, and many others.

Ms. Girlie Garces, Mandaue Expo event chairperson, explained that the event is part of the Mandaue Business Month 2022, an annual activity of the MCCI.

The exhibitors engaged in the food business include A.D Gothong Mfg. Corp., Virginia Foods, Inc., Gold Leaf Food Concept, King’s Quality Food Inc., Belcris Food, Inc., Equilibrium Intertrade Corp., Dunkin Donut, Golden Roast Chicken, Inc., Didang’s Masareal, Gardenia Bakeries Phil., San Miguel Food, Inc., San Miguel Brewery, Inc., Ginebra San Miguel Inc., and Phil. Spring Water Resources.

Also joining the exhibit are those engaged in furniture and furnishings. These include Dierde Export Trading, S&V Home Decors, Gesalem Design Center, URATEX, and Southern Synergy Sales Mktg. and Macro Furniture.

With the tourism sector starting to recover, the exhibit also features hospitality and tourism businesses like Maayo Hotel & Resorts, Cebu Grand Hotel, Waterworld Cebu, San Remigio Properties, Alpa Land Suites, and Bai Hotel.

Two firms engaged in health and wellness products, International Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Jelma Philippines Inc., will also be among the exhibitors.

The other exhibitors are San Miguel Yamamura Packaging, Petron, Sunsavings Bank, CTBC Bank, Dynamic Casting, Treasure Island Industrial Corp., Cebu Home & Builders, Green Coil Industry, Inc., Toyota Mandaue South, A. Suarez Sterling Corp., and Bank of Commerce.

The Mandaue Expo will also feature Sugbo Negosyo beneficiaries to support start-up businesses.

Aside from being able to shop for products, visitors can also look at possible business ventures with various companies, Garces said.

For those who would like to learn new skills, San Miguel will be offering livelihood seminars. The participants of the seminars will be limited to 20 persons per session and will be on a first-come-first-served basis only.

The main seminar will be on doing business with San Miguel through its community livelihood programs to encourage micro-entrepreneurship. The said activity will make the participants aware of startup businesses using the company’s products.

“That’s why we have cooking demonstrations, such as pasta and pizza cooking using our San Miguel products. There is also a seminar on planning businesses, looking into a cart business and how to make carenderia business profitable,” Garces explained.

The Mandaue Business Month is part of Mandaue City’s 53rd Charter Day celebration. It is made possible through the support of the local government of Mandaue and various sponsors.
