We’re saying “Uy, dili jud ma-Kuan ang kalipay!” (We can’t contain our excitement!) Melai Cantiveros is bringing us “Kuan on One,” a talk show celebrating Bisaya culture! Hey there, Bisaya peeps and Bisaya at heart! We’ve got some exciting news for you! Hold on to your seats, because Melai Cantiveros is about to unleash her Bisaya magic with a brand new talk show to premiere in July.
“Kuan” You Believe It? Melai and Her New Show Celebrates Bisaya Culture
Now, “Kuan” might sound a bit funny to some. It’s that word we all use when we can’t quite remember something, kind of like Tagalog’s “ano.” But Melai’s taking this relatable word and turning it into a show that celebrates all things Bisaya!
Remember when Melai melted hearts with her “my heart is very kuan” speech at the Asia Artists Awards? Well, get ready for more of that genuine Bisaya charm on “Kuan on One.” Melai will be chatting with some of your favorite Bisaya celebrities like Cebu’s Kim Chiu.
Apart from the Visayas, there are also many Bisaya speakers in Mindanao, where Melai grew up in General Santos City. With that, an episode where Cagayan de Oro’s Maymay Entrata will also be guesting. We’ll also see Cebuana songstress Sheryn Regis, BINI members Aiah and Colet. Actress Vivoree, singer Jason Dy and actor Christian Bables will also be seen on Melai’s upcoming talk show set for release in July…plus a whole bunch of other talented Bisaya stars!
