Pie Channel showers viewers with over ₱2M cash prizes in first monthsary

A spectacular first monthsary celebration surprised viewers including the much-awaited visit of Original “Pera o Bayong” host Amy Perez in “PoB” as its special guest host on the PIE channel that is available on BEAM TV, Sky Cable Channel 21, the PIE website, and the PIE YouTube channel.

Tyang Amy and the PIE jocks gave away ₱100,000 in “PoB” to lucky viewers who joined in the fun.

Before Tyang Amy graced “PoB,” she sat down with PIE jocks Eian Rances, Kevin Montillano, and Nicki Morena to share her best lessons that she picked up as a host of ABS-CBN’s “Pera o Bayong.”

“Ako natutunan ko kay Kuya Dick [Roderick Paulate] ay you allow the other person also to shine. ‘Pag hosting ang pinag-usapan, dapat alam mo na confident ka na kaya ka kinuha for that job is alam mo sa sarili mo na kaya mo. Now, you don’t have to outshine the other person,” she shared in a video on the PIE YouTube channel.

Tyang Amy also added that hosting “Pera o Bayong” became her ‘therapy’ at a time when she had to go through difficult challenges in her personal life, as she applied in real life the phrase ‘the show must go on.’

She remarked, “Naging therapy sa akin ‘yung pagpunta sa work every day even if I was going through a very difficult time noong mga panahon na iyon.”

More surprises Were in store for PIE channel viewers as it introduced the newest addition to the katroPIEs, a special PIE jock who will be part of the channel.

As part of the #PIEmonthsary celebration, there were free jeepney rides as well in select routes starting June 23 until June 27. These include Dapitan-Baclaran (via Taft Ave.), MOA-Bicutan, PRC-Mantrade, San Juan-Divisoria, Pasig-Taguig, and Cubao-Vito Cruz.

PIE is the first multiscreen, real-time interactive TV channel in the country where viewers can participate and win cash prizes every hour and every day by just watching their TV. Viewers can also catch other programs on the different time blocks of PIE like PIESILOG, BARANGAY PIE, PIEGALINGAN, PIENALO, and PIE Night Long.
