Tony Labrusca, a singer, dancer, and Pinoy Boyband Superstar finalist visited the island of Cebu for the Mactan-Cebu International Airport “Best Cebu Summer Ever” campaign. On April 28, 2017, MCIA announced the first winner of their contest for Best Beach Trip category.

During the event, Tony Labrusca performed a live presentation singing his own rendition of Neocolor’s “Tuloy Pa Rin”.

Why Tony Labrusca considers Cebu the best summer destination ever

After his performance, he was invited for a sit-down interview with DJ Jiggy Jr. with some questions about why Cebu is the best summer destination ever.

What is, you think, at the top of your list for Cebu beach trip? What is the best Cebu destination for you?

For me, Cebu is such a wonderful place to come to. Definitely, the beaches [are] some of my favorite places. I love to swim. And I love when we went to the [Kawasan] falls and we also went to Oslob to swim with the whales. So, that’s definitely one of my favorites that I’ve done here in Cebu.

When in the beach, what normally do you do? What kind of beach games do you play?

Me, James (Cesena), love to play volleyball. But it’s really hard to play volleyball with just two people… (DJ Jiggy Jr. suggested to play singles) …Yeah, but it’s not that fun.

What is you definition of the best summer in Cebu ever? What makes Cebu the best summer destination ever?

Well, I think when you think of the best summer ever, I think it’s all about just chilling, relaxing, having a good time, [enjoying] the hot weather… I think it’s perfect to do that here in Cebu because in Manila, in summer, where things are just so crazy and busy, but here in Cebu, the people here are just so chill and relax. So, if you want to have a great time and go to amazing locations, but at the same time, be with people [who] are very relaxed and you want to get away from the city, I think that’s the best part about being here in Cebu. And if you, guys, want the best summer ever, then, there’s no place better to do it here in Cebu.

This is your first time here in Cebu?

No, it’s not. We… me, and my brother, James, we actually come to Cebu a lot because we have a lot of shows here. (But) we love it here. I mean, our manager is from Cebu, so, he takes us to some of the most awesome food locations, and tourist destinations, so this is very much become (like) a second home; a home away from home.
