The Department of Tourism Region 7 confirmed that there are 5.5 million tourists visited Cebu in 2018. This is probably one of the reasons why casinos became more popular in Cebu province. Let us try to learn further.
Why do Cebuanos love playing in Casinos?

In 2012 alone, the presence of the IT-BPO industry in Cebu City reached 26.9 percent. This made the city ranked 8th at the Top 100 BPO Destinations in the world.
Going back to the question, “Why do Cebuanos love playing in Casinos?” Initially, the majority of the people have in mind that the love of Cebuanos to playing casinos came from the abundant existence of peryahan or local funfairs particularly found in the barangays, or traveling amusement parks back in the days.
We were able to ask people online and usually, they would end up giving similar answers to our question. We were able to collect the three (3) most popular responses from random respondents.
1) They have the hopes to win big and easy money

Majority of the hotels and resorts in Cebu has casino in them. There are a few, however, very common to Cebuanos, especially those operated by the Casino Filipino Cebu.
