Visayan music is more alive as it will be showcased on the biggest and brightest event this year in Cebu. The Bisaya Music Festival will house more than 20 Bisaya musical acts from Cebu all the way from its neighboring regions in the country. On September 15-16, 2018, get ready to be mesmerized by Cebuano musicality and Bisaya talents, together with the 3rd year installment of Cebu’s lifestyle bazaar, Pop District.
Bisaya Music Festival: Celebrating Arts, Culture, Lifestyle, and Music in Cebu
The first-ever Bisaya Music Festival will gather 20 musical artists performing live on the same stage. With its partnership with Pop District Bazaar, both fans and the artists alike will celebrate Bisaya musicality, along with appreciating art, culture, entrepreneurship, and creativity. Supporting local start-up entrepreneurs and businesses since 2015, Pop District Bazaar will showcase different food, beauty, and lifestyle booths as well as presenting Cebu’s social media influencers. GMA 7’s Joyce Pring will also grace the 2-day event and will be meeting their fans.
The Bisaya Music Festival will also become the finals night of Kanta Kasingkasing, a song-writing competition featuring local songwriters with their songs interpreted by artists like Jacky Chang, and Kurt Fick, who were around during the press conference last September 7, 2018, at Oakridge Executive Lounge.
Jude Gitamondoc of Kadasig, and Musical Director of the musical theater play hit, Gugmang Giatay, presented the Bisaya Music Festival, its lineup of live performances and the finalist for Kanta Kasingkasing, during a press conference. Taking the second day of the Pop District Bazaar festivities, the Bisaya Music Festival will take the center stage on September 16, 2018, with performances from the Cebuano legends, Urbandub.
Other performances will be from Junior Kilat and Maka Girls, Pilipinas Got Talent semifinalists. Popular Bisaya talents like singers Jacky Chang, Von Saw, Jerika Teodorico will also be performing live.
