EastWest Priority Center Cebu formally celebrates its launch in the Lunar New Year

After a successful kick-off in Metro Manila, EastWest Priority Lifestyle Series found its way to Cebu for Visayas Priority clients. EastWest Priority Center Cebu officially opened its doors through the Series’ Lunar New Year celebration. EastWest Priority provides bespoke banking products and services to affluent clients, business executives, business owners, scions of affluent families, and the next generation of family-owned corporations.

It was also an auspicious occasion to introduce the Bank’s new Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jerry G. Ngo to their Visayas Priority clients.

As a Cebuano himself, Mr. Ngo expressed his excitement to meet fellow Cebuano clients, and his eagerness to forge stronger partnerships with the clients in Visayas. “I’m especially thrilled and looking forward to serving all of our beloved clients even better here in Cebu.”

“I am pleased to let you know that similar to the recovery we saw last year in our general economy, as well as the rest of the world, EastWest remains stable, sound, and doing a lot better than we were over the years of the pandemic and community quarantines,” assures Jerry Ngo.

Guests were treated to a traditional lion dance and a Feng Shui outlook – crowd favorites and Priority Lifestyle Series staples. Feng Shui master Patrick Lim Fernandez was invited to give a talk on Feng Shui and what to look forward to in the Year of the Water Rabbit.

According to Fernandez, the Year of the Water Rabbit is the peak of spring. This will bring about reinvigoration and reintegration back into society. He added that industries with fire and metal elements will benefit the most in the Year of the Rabbit.

“Fire industries are going to be good this year so that would be technology on the software side, energy, communications and media, entertainment and events and food,” Fernandez said.

“Other industries that are also looking good have to do with metal – banking and finance, mining, jewelry, beauty products, medical, dental and healthcare, and technology on the hardware side or equipment,” he added.

Fernandez also shared that the energy of creativity will be strong in the Year of the Rabbit and people should take advantage of this to brainstorm and come up with new ideas. ‘

“But try to guard against losing focus. Don’t try to do everything at once. Try to think and choose what is important and from there you will be able to get things done,” he said.

The celebration closed with Rafael S. Algarra, EastWest’s Senior Executive Vice President, thanking clients for witnessing the opening of Priority Center Cebu. The Center should have been opened much earlier but the plan had to be postponed due to the pandemic restrictions.

“Now that we’ve waited long enough, I am happy that EastWest gets to finally and officially bring our brand of personalized EastWest Priority service to the shores and wonderful people of Cebu, and I am thankful that you have warmly welcomed us here in your city. You can be assured that with continued good fortune, we will have more of these events for you this year,” Algarra said.

He also gladly shared with the guests that the Bank’s portfolio has only increased and grown further in 2022 because of the steady reopening of the country and the world.

“As part of the momentum we’re rolling within 2023, you can also be assured that we will continue introducing more investment opportunities to help you strengthen your portfolio according to your needs and preferences,” he said.

Clients who stayed on after the program proper got the chance to win raffle prizes like 2023 Feng Shui diaries, overnight accommodations, dinners, and other gift items. Clients also enjoyed singer Kate Torralba’s serenade.

The EastWest Priority Lifestyle Series is part of the Bank’s efforts to thank their loyal Priority clients. The Cebu leg was held on January 24, 2023, at Radisson Blu, Cebu City.
