On June 2, 2017, Rico’s Lechon Founder and Chief Executive Officer Enrico “Rico” Dionson, together with Sales and Marketing Head Jeff Walther Oyas, flew to Japan to personally receive their Silver Award for Asia-Pacific Stevies’ Innovation in Media Relations. This is to recognize their nationwide efforts in campaigning #DaBestGyud brand strategy that started last year.
Rico’s Lechon wins a Stevies, strengthens brand and marketing as Cebu’s best
Just weeks after Cebu’s Best Lechon maker, Rico’s Lechon, received the award at the Hilton Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, the management eyes to strengthen its marketing campaign to offer an even better service to customers and patrons.
“Winning the Stevie Awards is just the beginning of many more campaigns for our company to help us realize the aspiration and dreams for us to be able to connect with the people that we serve,” Oyas said during The Stevie Awards in Japan.
During his interview, the #DaBestGyud marketing campaign was emphasized, which led them to bag The Stevies Silver Award for Innovation in Media Relations. With this campaign, Rico’s Lechon expanded with two additional branches in two key areas in Cebu—Mactan, and Escario. The award-winning campaign not only contributed to the increased demand of their specialty Lechon but also helped widen their reach, boosting the company’s presence not only in Cebu but in Manila as well.
“It is a great honor not only for our company but for our country – the Philippines to be recognized at this level, “Oyas added.
Social Media and Bloggers Press Conference
Rico’s Lechon invited social media influencers and bloggers last June 23, 2017, at their Axis Escario branch, to share the joy of their triumph in winning The Stevies.
Although winning a prestigious award like The Stevies, which set the bar higher for Rico’s Lechon, the company is committed to taking the challenge as well as the responsibilities it entails. This means more marketing and branding campaigns will be set in place in the future to better position the scope of services and products their offer.
The company is looking for the next best location to open another brand of their restaurant, most likely in the southern part of Cebu.
The Stevie Awards competitions receive more than 10,000 entries each year from organizations in more than 60 countries. It honors organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them for their outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide.
