The Mrs. Universe 2018 will be held in Cebu this year. An International pageant, 88 candidates arrived last December 4, 2018, to join the most prestigious pageant of the most responsible spouses in the world. Cebu will be hosting the 41st edition of the international pageant for married and empowered women for the first time.
The Mrs. Universe 2018: 88 delegates from around the world will compete in Cebu
The Mrs. Universe will be participated by 88 candidates of married women who are really empowered, influential in their field and a natural leader. The pageant is in response to the call in celebrating women’s rights and to highlight the role of women to her family and community.
The Mrs. Universe will be giving recognition to women who exemplify empowerment in their chosen fields and have made themselves unique as they influence, touch other’s lives, serve as an inspiration and catalysts for change.
It is an international and global event for the most responsible spouse and Human Rights Forum in one, organized in San Salvador, El Salvador from 2007. The event is open to married women from nations of all continents around the world who are between ages 18 to 55, have a family and career, and are involved in a significant cause.
This year, 88 candidates from around the world will represent their countries and nations to compete for the title in Cebu.
Philippine Honorable Queens and the Mrs. Universe – Philippines Finest Woman
The Philippine Honorable Queens was founded by a Cebuana, Mrs. Marilou Tolico-Villanueva, a former candidate of the Mrs. Universe in 2017. She organized the Mrs. Universe – Philippines Finest Woman, a title given to the Philippine delegation to Mrs. Universe. In 2017, Mrs. Mary Ferlyn “Beau” Singson was chosen and appointed to represent the Philippines this year and will compete in Cebu.
The Mrs. Universe Philippines Finest Woman was first organized last September 8, 2018, and the pageant is open to every Filipino woman from ages 25 to 50 who is involved in a significant cause in favor of other people. The title, “Philippine Finest Woman Universe” will be given to a qualified candidate and will present the Philippines for the International Mrs. Universe pageant and Human Rights Forum held yearly every August until December.
The International Forum and pageant this year is conducted by the Philippine Honorable Queens (PHQ Events) and by their International partner, Mrs. Universe Ltd.
Actress and a mother of two, Patricia Javier was crowned the Mrs. Universe – Philippine Finest Woman last September 8, 2018, at Resorts World Manila and will represent the Philippines in 2019. The next host country will soon be announced by the Mrs. Universe Organization.
The Philippines is yet to get the title for the Mrs. Universe. Mrs. Vietnam, Mrs. Tram Hoang Luu, won the 2017 title during the Coronation Night at Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre in South Africa.
Mrs. Universe 2018 Coronation Night in Cebu
The series of activities of the Mrs. Universe 2018 in Cebu was announced last December 5, 2018, during the Press Conference and Briefing at the Chateau by the Sea, Punta Engaño, Lapu-Lapu City. The Human Rights Forum was held earlier today, December 6, 2018, at bai Hotel Cebu, the official residence of the Mrs. Universe 2018 pageant.
The forum is a part of the pre-judging and is said to be 50% of the final score of every candidate that will pave their way in winning the title during the coronation night on December 10, 2018, at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.
A fashion show will be held on December 7, 2018, 6 PM, at SM Seaside City Cebu, and their outfits will be sponsored by the SM Department Stores. A Parade Of Nations and Talents Night is also scheduled on December 9, 2018, 6 PM, at SM Seaside City Cebu Sky Hall.
