Local poets and singer-songwriters will take to the stage this July 21-22 at the Ayala Center Cebu during the Cebu Literary Festival x KomiKet 2018. The artists will be performing during the open mic starting from 6:30 PM.

Local Poets and Musicians to Play Live at Cebu Literary Festival 2018

The CebuLitFest Open Mic, which has been successfully staged at the SM Seaside, SM City Cebu, Parkmall, The Walk, and Mactan Newtown Alfresco, mixes experienced performers and popular names like Juanita Romualdez, Maxim Ilagan, Paolo Perez, Francis Terrado, Andoni Ibarlucea, J Russ and Diane Tungol, with newbies who may be performing their poems and songs for the first time.

A number of poets and singer-songwriters have been discovered through his platform and is an eagerly awaited segment of the Cebu Literary Festival, which has brought in names like Danton Remoto, Jessica Zafra, Carlos Celdran, Linda Faigao Hall, Vim Nadera, Christine Godinez Ortega and Tim Tomlinson to Cebu in previous years.

This year’s featured names include Manix Abrera, Hulyen, Myke Obenieta, Merlie Alunan, Denver Torres, Gingging Dumdum, Larry Ypil, Resil Mojares, Cecilia Manguerra Brainard, Ian Rosales Casocot, TEAM Magazine’s Phil De La Torre and Big Bad Wolf’s Miguel Mercado.
