HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, introduced this month its first-ever 5G smartphone adding to its growing lineup of mobile devices portfolio. A truly global, future-proof 5G smartphone, the new Nokia 8.3 5G was introduced during Nokia’s online live stream event last March 20, 2020, unveiling the device as one of the first commercially announced devices to be based on the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 765G Modular Platform. It also includes a 64MP quad-camera system with ZEISS optics.

The Nokia 8.3 5G is designed to support multiple and evolving 5G network deployments, with support for both standalone and non-standalone 5G combinations, which operators are rolling out around the globe. Being the first smartphone to use the Qualcomm® 5G RF frontend module solution, as part of its Qualcomm® Modular Platform, the Nokia 8.3 5G condenses more than 40 different RF components into a single module, making it not only a global device but also a future-proof smartphone which is ready for the next step in 5G.

During the #NokiamobileLive online launch event last March 20, HMD Global also introduced three new mobile devices on its product lineup. The Nokia 5.3 that comes with a quad-camera, the latest Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 665 Mobile Platform and the signature two-day battery; the Nokia 1.3 powered by the brand-new Android 10 (Go edition) OS at a more accessible price point; and bringing back one of Nokia’s originals, the Nokia 5310, reimagining the classic Nokia 5310 Xpress Music that brings with an MP3 player3 and FM radio, and dual front-facing loudspeakers.
They have also introduced the HMD Connect, a global data roaming service enabling people around the world to benefit from a hassle-free data SIM when traveling and staying in full control of their data plans.
Nokia 8.3 5G in No Time To Die
The global campaign entitled ‘The Only Gadget You Will Ever Need’, launching closer to the November release of the movie, features the new 00 Agent, Nomi, played by Lashana Lynch. It will scale across 80 countries, running across cinema, digital, social, OOH and retail.

The Nokia 8.3 5G is available globally starting in summer (Q2 2020) for a global average retail price of €599 (estimated $650 or approximately ₱33,000) for 6GB/64GB RAM/ROM and €649 (estimated $705 or approximately ₱36,000) for 8GB/128GB storage options.
