Hey, bookworms! The world’s biggest book sale is on its way for an online comeback. Pre-pandemic, the Malaysian-based book fair Big Bad Wolf Book Sale was an annual favorite among bookworms for its consistently cheap prices, rare titles during its 11-day 24-hour open book sale in Cebu last August 16-26, 2019.

The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale in Cebu brought over a million books across multiple genres that include children’s books, fiction, non-fiction, and premium books to cater to readers of all ages. The Sale was open for 24 hours throughout its 11-day run to accommodate shoppers’ schedules and give readers more time to browse through the variety of books and genres offered.
With the pandemic still ongoing, the book sale said on Facebook that they’re now making it possible for Filipinos to add to cart online.
“Sa Luzon, sa Visayas, at sa Mindanao… I hear your cries Wolfies and don’t worry I am coming to you very SOON. The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will be open ONLINE and will be available NATIONWIDE! Stay tuned for more Sale updates!”
It was confirmed on June 17 that The Big Bad Wolf will be open online from June 30 – July 7, 2021, at their exclusive portal. Over 60,000 book titles are waiting for you, with discounts up to 99% OFF, available for everyone in the Philippines, nationwide!
The books are more affordable now that they do not have to bring the books back and forth to Malaysia, but there is a shipping fee that the buyers have to shoulder and the cost depends on the local courier. Jacqueline Ng, Big Bad Wolf Director, noted that there will be no Cash on Delivery (COD).
Nonetheless, they have a free shipping promo if the buyer spends a minimum amount of ₱2,900.00. They also have other promos like 5% off with a minimum spend of ₱1,200 and 10% off with a minimum spend of ₱5,000.
Bookworms will also have a chance to grab a book from 30 titles that they can select from that is worth ₱10 only, if the books in their carts reach ₱1,800.
