Digital platform helloPay rebrands to Alipay
The helloPay Group, which runs the helloPay payment platform on online shopping and selling site Lazada, and Ant Financial Services Group (“Ant Financial”), the parent company of Alipay, a leading mobile and online payment platform in China, jointly announced a merger between helloPay Group and Ant Financial. Because of this merger, helloPay will be rebranded in the respective markets.
AliPay Philippines advised existing helloPay account holders that there will be no impact to their account as a result of the change in the brand. All the stored funds with helloPay still remain with the account holders, and their accounts remain safe and secure under the new Alipay Philippines name.
New features, however, are not introduced to the change on existing account without telling their account holders first. In the case that they have any concerns, existing helloPay account holders and subscribers were encouraged to reach out to the helloPay/Alipay team.
Established in November 2014 by the Lazada Group, helloPay provides payment solutions for the Lazada platform. It has been operational in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

Continually accepts Lazada payments
Lazada Philippines, the country’s leading online shopping mall, has expanded its payment options for consumers to check out their purchases online. helloPay, now AliPay, is added to let customers pay to different banks, payment centers and also with credit or debit cards.
The payment option was first conceptualized since items from International resellers at Lazada are limited to cash on delivery, and these purchases require credit or debit card. The specific payment option lets these potential buyers orders items from International resellers even without credit or debit cards at hand.
