The LTFRB-7 has granted 75 PUJs special permits to carry passengers from Cebu City Hall to Cebu South Bus Terminal at SRP. The fare is set at ₱6.50 for every passenger.

For those bound for southern Cebu, 8 buses of Metro Cebu Auto Bus Company will carry passengers from its terminal along N. Bacalso Avenue to Brgy Tabunok, Talisay City. The fare is ₱10 per passenger.

For the northbound passengers, 8 Ceres buses at White Gold terminal will carry passengers to SM City Cebu, Parkmall and Cebu North Bus Terminal. Each passenger has to pay ₱10.

There will also be 25 PUJs at the Waterfront Police Station to ferry passengers bound for Lapu-Lapu City. The fare is ₱15.

CCTO head Rafael Yap urged Sinulog revelers to avail of the public transportation. Car owners were discouraged from utilizing their cars. Yap says it will also help decongest the traffic.

LTFRB-7 director Ahmed Cuizon says the public transportation on Sunday will be useful especially for the people in the grandstand who can avail of the rides immediately after the Grand Parade.

Heavy traffic expected on Sinulog Friday

Traffic is expected along M.J. Cuenco Avenue during the Traslacion on Friday. On Saturday, streets along Cebu City sea ports will be closed for the fluvial procession.

Some roads in Cebu City will also be closed for the solemn procession on Saturday. The route will start from Osmeña Blvd to Mango Avenue to Imus New Road to MJ Cuenco Avenue to Urdaneta to Burgos Street to Basilica del Sto. Niño.

CCTO will deploy 210 personnel to manage traffic.
